Go-Go had yet another B-day party to go to yesterday, and while she and dad were gone, the Little One wanted to walk to school with mom.
Dad told her she would get a chance to go to parties once she started school. And the past few days, the Little One talks about playing at school and cooking dinner. Then this morning Mom and Dad were talking about kindergarten. The Little One's ears perked up and she said, "I want to go to school!"
I said, you will. You get to go to pre-k, to which she protested no kindergarten. I laughed and said, she probably could too. She already knows her alaphabet even knows how to WRITE a few letters, and she counts up to 15. If it wasn't the maturity factor of only being 3, she probably could do kindergarten. It's amazing what she picks up only to keep up with big sis.
Go-Go had a friend come home with her after the party. And the poor Little One felt so disjointed, because Go-Go kept unincluding her in play. She may be picking up all this info so her sister won't think she's a baby anymore.
Go-Go's friend called the Little One a baby, because she's still in diapers, and Go-Go said, "No she isn't. She wears underwear now!" Still not old enough to share friends, however. The Little One could use a group of friends her own age. Mom can't wait for school.
Both Go-Go and my Little One are bigger social butterflies than their mother. I much prefer burying my head in a book than going to a party. I think Go-Go's friend got too comfortable here though, he called me Mom yesterday.
