Go-Go's next project is to research her family tree.  The assignment says to go back as far as possible.  Well on Go-Go's maternal grandmother's side, we can go as far back as the crossing of the Mayflower.

I called my mom yesterday (She gets homework to do), and my mom said Jacob Tiger came across on the third or fourth Mayflower crossing.  She couldn't remember exactly.  I said, oh yeah I'll just tell Go-Go's teacher we need to take a field trip to New Jersey to look at the family tree.  One of my mom's uncles put a lot of time and research in it and it is hanging in some museum out there.  I told my mom what I really wanted was an outline of the family tree - through my mom's side and a copy of the picture she has of the Frost farm (circa 1912).

All growing up my mom said she never met Robert Frost.  Then last night she told me she remembered one Frost family reunion (Her paternal grandmother was a Frost) when everyone was making a big fuss over someone who showed up.  My mom said she didn't understand what all the fuss was about, because he was just some old guy.  Yeah a really well known old guy, Mom.

I also talked to my Aunt last night, because she has done a lot of research into our family tree (and she lives closer than my Mom).  I told my Aunt Go-Go would like it if she came to class to share her family history.  Then my Aunt tried to branch off the family tree.  I don't have her family history!  I laughed, you have her maternal grandma's history - that's why we researched the Lenape for the native american report (Go-Go got an A on).  My Aunt said she look through the Tiger geneology she has and think about going to school.
