This had me ROTFLMAO: "I thought his name was Dana?"
The other day, Kat asked me if I told our parents about my good stuff award. I had not, telling her I knew they didn't follow trek. And my mom still doesn't believe there is an actual place where writers can submit manuscripts for actual publication and $.
However, upon my sister's advice, I emailed my parents and in-laws the link to the awards and told them how they could access my story. My father-in-law sent back a reply, which I forwarded to my sister. She wrote back, I told you to tell them you got an award NOT to show them the story.
I told Kat, I sent the link to the award and told them if you click on the story title you may read the story. Kat said, oh your parents won't do that.
They did! And when I talked to my Mom she said she was on her second read, because she couldn't follow it the first time around. And in reference to Data she said, "I thought his name was Dana."
LOL! Mom I've been watching Star Trek long enough, and creating my own pieces of fiction with the characters I think I know what his name is, trust me it's DATA.
