Setting: The Little One's bedroom.
When: Yesterday after school
Mom: Oh you were the little red hen? [Mom found story of the little red hen in folder. Little Red Hen was highlighted and all her lines.]
L.O. Yeah [not very enthusiastic]
Mom: Cool [very enthusiatic, looking through the story and seeing it's the largest role.]
L.O. Here, I'll read it for you. [She takes the story and starts reading EVERY part with different voices.]
Mom: [Applauding] Good job! [Still wondering if the little one read her part with the same inflections at school. She really sounded like a mother hen.]
The lines for the baby chicks. The first time she read their line in a high pitch baby voice - that's the little red hen's chicks, Mom.
I told Tileman about the one girl play. Why can't we get her to do this at scouts? *shrug* They've already began to put the play for the investiture/rededication together. What was the little one doing? Sitting off alone amusing herself.
