Go-Go has decided to start working on her Religion in Life emblem this year. I ordered the materials from the UUA bookstore. They arrived yesterday. Go-Go seemed enthused, and this morning I got an email from our minister. He would be happy to help Go-Go as an advisor.
We also got the invite to the start of RE. The RE teachers are hosting a pizza party for the children to welcome them to another year. My name was listed as a teacher. Yes I knew it would be there. Tileman signed us up to teach RE a few months ago without my knowledge. One teacher came up to me and said thanks for signing up. I was like for...? And that is how I found out I was going to be an RE teacher.
Tileman has to do most of the work. He needs to attend the teacher meetings and go over the lessons with the other teachers. Something I can't do since I don't drive. The first thing I noticed about the religion in life requirements though was it said a lot of the material can be used as RE lessons. All good because we will have Go-Go's age group for RE.
Of course Tileman was remarking he needs a date planner. Between girl scouts, RE meetings, work, and the girls school schedules it's going to be a busy year. Speaking of girl scouts the troop is going bowling Friday night. Tileman has to take off early to get there. He said he didn't realize Friday was the end of the pay period. Well mom does the household accounting, and I told him not to worry (I knew). We don't need a full paycheck if we don't get one. Tileman's been running here and there with everything getting back into swing; he needs a date planner just to keep track of his work hours.
