Last night the tooth fairy visited our house for the first time. I was awoken by an excited 6 year old at 1 in the morning.
"The tooth fairy came! Look!"
Yeah okay, I rolled over to go back to sleep, but this wasn't the end.
"I opened my eyes and saw the box on my night stand. I picked it up. It was empty. Then I found a dollar under my pillow. Oh can I have some water?"
Okay Mom gets up to give Go-Go glass of water, goes back to bed. Two minutes later...
"It isn't a dollar. It's two dollars. One of them was folded in the other. Did you know I was awake?"
What?! Mom's wide awake now.
"Yep, I just had my eyes closed, trying to fall aslepp."
"Well what does the tooth fairy look like?"
"I don't know. My eyes were closed. She must be super fast too. I never knew she was in the room."
Phew!
"Can I sleep with you now?"
So Go-Go slept in our room, and now Hubby is home due to an arcade injury. He played a shot em up video at peter piper's Monday. And is complaining about sore legs from all the ducking and pivoting. Once upon a time arcade games weren't full contact sports, he's told me.
I'm just shaking my head, thinking I'm married to an old man.
